To ground yourself- this can mean to bring yourself into reality, to focus your thoughts and feelings in reality, to keep your thoughts, feelings and actions based off reality.
"I really had to ground myself after my boss complimented my work today. The compliment was nice and made me feel great but I know I haven't been producing my best effort lately."
Some people also use "grounded" which has two meanings.
"I really feel grounded after my daily meditation. It helps me recognize my priorities."
"The twelve year old girl was grounded for three days by her parents. During this time, She had to spend all her free time in her room reading a book instead of visiting friends or using electronics. "
The second is an expletive. It can be used a variety of ways in a variety of sentences with a plethora of meanings.
To be vulnerable- this means to be in a position where others can cause you damage. This can describe an emotional vulnerability or a physical vulnerability. Either way, it means to lower your defenses.
