"Suicide" used to be a crime in England, and the notion of it being wrongful survives linguistically in the phrase "commit suicide".

'Suicide' means to kill yourself. 'Squad' means group or team of people. The two words together form a multi word noun and specifically refers to a group of fighters who will sacrifice their lives in a battle if that is necessary to win. If you are talking about the DC Comics "Suicide Squad" I guess they have that name because they are prepared to die , if necessary.
