Hi guys, I really need your help. I'm doing my new English Schedule but I'm in doubt. Right now I was learning about “Input” and “Output” and I’ll try to do my new schedule with this thought. This schedule will be of the one month. I intend to practice one day input - listening and reading and the other day I’ll practice output - writing and speaking. Every day I wake up before the 06:00 and I put something on Youtube or Spotify in English and just listen while I’m doing other things like homeworks or shaver, so I use to listen since 06:00 - 07:00, 1 hour per day. I don’t understand everything that I listen. What do you guys think about it? Someone has a adevice to me? I keep going listen this hour and when I sit for study English I just listen other thing but pay totally attention or this hour is enough? Thanks for your attention. <3

Aleluia, it is a good way to get your ears used to the musicality of English and its individual sounds. However, it is important to be an active learner even in moments of input: how are you approaching the material you are listening to? Are you writing down new vocabulary? Are you making connections between your previous knowledge and the new material? Are you aware of the proper stress and intonation that are placed on specific words? It is advised that you analyze the content you are exposed to. Make sure to take notes, ask questions and look up whatever word you're not familiar with in order to build on the foundation you already have.

I would recommend listening to something focused on language learners such as Lukes English Podcast.

It's a good start. I cannot emphasise enough the need for students to dedicate a LOT of time to input. Too many people say they just want to speak. But...you cannot produce output if it isn't in your head! Get listening and reading. A lot!

Yeah. I follow canal of teacher on YouTube and listen your videos while I make other things in the moment that I wake up. I began to take notes, I intend to write 5 words per day and create phrases with them and try to put in my life, at the next day I'll took this 5 words and put more 5 words and create other phrases or sentences with them, etc.
