I used to play Chinese checkers a lot when I was a child. It was a very popular board game many years ago among kids, and even adults. The checkerboard looks like a 6-pointed star and each corner works as a home with 10 pieces of mobiles. The objective is to move all marbles of your corner to the opposite side of the board before the opponents do the same. It can be played by two, three, four, or six people. The rules are quite simple, that player can use single step moves or moves that jump over other pieces. Therefore, it requires some strategies. If the player can create or find the longest hopping path that leads closest to home, or immediately to it, they will win quickly. I liked it because it was a fun game, besides, it helped me bond with my family members and friends. I always played it with my sisters and my parents. I remember that my sister was really good at it and she was the winner at the most time. One day, my parents bought me a new fancy checkerboard as a birthday gift which made me very happy and I showed off to other children for a quite while. However, it was pity that I lost it when we moved a couple of years ago.
