Hello,
Could somebody tell me what’s the difference between “learn” and “study”?
For example “learn English” and “study English”
Thanks in advance.

Learning is when you are acquiring/gaining new knowledge while studying is what you do in order to learn. Studying can also be used to answer the question “What do you study/what are you studying?” - when someone is asking about your major/degree at university. For example “I study finance.” When you are preparing for an exam, people usually say they are studying for an exam. If you are in a class, you are most likely learning something because you are gaining new information. A teacher might say “today we are going to learn about snow” - implying that the students will acquire new knowledge about snow.
Learning English means you are acquiring/gaining new knowledge. Studying English could mean you are learning/acquiring it or you are practicing/reinforcing what you already learned.
For example:
What do you want to do this year?
I want to learn English, but I know I’ll have to study every day.

The difference is small.
'Learn' means you don't know English. Or, perhaps you are still coming to understand English. To -study- is a general statement . As a native English speaker, I study my English to make a better statement. But, anyone can study English. Learners are studying also. Of course, in English, the meaning can change a bit depending on way the words are used, so this is not always true, but I am generally saying what it means
