This is a great question that can be better answered by an adult because an adult has already experienced both being a child and an adult. As for me, I really wanted to grow up quickly when I was a kid, then I could finally be free and get full control over my life without being nagged by my parents. Freedom was just like a seed that had been sowed in my heart. After I grew up and left home, I always felt lonely because I needed to face all the challenges and hardships without any help from my parents. At those moments, I really wanted to be the child that was well taken care of by my parents as I realized that all their naggings were actually signs of love. The only thing I had to do was to eat and play well. This reminds me of a great Chinese saying that goes as: nothing is perfect, imperfection is perfect. We need to think about what we presently have.
