Second high education.

Nowdays many people get a second high education.Who has got a second high education among you? Which profession did you choose and at what age? Share with your experience, please. If I have time, I would like to get a second education too.

I'm nineteen and I study International Relations at Complutense. This is my first year at university and it's amazing! I love going to university because there are a lot of interesting people and I can learn a lot. Actually, university is very different than high school. 

I have chosen International Relations because I love traveling and I want to know how the world works.

Moreover, if you study a degree, you can be a professional authentic. So, you can do a job that few people know to do.

I chose chemistry in college and university.

But after several years it became boring.

I was invloved in a research project and we were using very toxic chemicals, but no one was paying attention to our safety.

So I said "Someone should be responsible for the safety of the people working on this project."

I'm sure you know what happened next... the project leader told me to take care of safety.

So, I returned to college to study 'occupational health and safety', and I found it very interesting.

Later, after the project finished, I started to work as a safety consultant and trainer, and I did that work for 25 happy years.

Now that I am retired, I enjoy doing English language tutoring.

It is better to do the work you love, than to do the work you don't like.

Money and income are not the important considerations.

i am 19 years old, i never choose a second education,but one of my classmates has choosed  it, she learned English as second degree. but if i were you, i would like to choose Psychology, because i like it very much!

I choose medicine at age of 20 years old . i think it's the most important thing in my life that decision

I made my Master's degree in 1985 and it was in Education.   It never paid off for me as after I earned it, I immediately knew I made a mistake and switched careers.
