Korean or Mandarin Chinese?

I've been thinking about this for a while and since I like Asian culture in general as well as language learning, I've been thinking of learning another Asian language as well. Now, I've done my research but I still can't decide between Mandarin Chinese and Korean. The thing is, I prefer the way Korean sounds as well as the way their writing looks like but Chinese seems to be a lot more useful as its the most spoken language in the word and I think I may have some advantage because I know a bit of kanji, so even though the pronunciation seems difficult I still consider it.

Giving me some advices as well as advantages of learning each language would help me a lot.

I agree with Fybf.  If you're not sure, just learn both.

A lot of people learn multiple languages at the same time.

And between Mandarin and Korean, there is nothing that can confuse you because of similarities.

So there's no harm in learning both.  Along the way you might eventually drop one of them, or continue with both.

Choose the language you like. I think both Chinese and Korean are hard but I noticed that you have learned Japanese before, which will be a huge advantage. As you said, because you know kanji, you don't need to worry about learning how to write Chinese characters cause there're a lot of similarities. And the grammar of Japanese and Korean are basically the same. If you really can't decide, I recommand you to learn both.

I think you wrote some of the advantages and disadvantages of learning both. I would also think which culture do you like more, and if you want to learn Mandarin, do you want to use it in a job. If you don't, then you could probably make a slightly easier decision.

I am learning Korean. It is super hard. Chinese doesn't have the same crazy verb conjunctions, but it is a tonal language, meaning the inflictions of your voice changes the meaning of the word.
