Why do we learn other languages?
We learn other languages so we can learn about others and get to know them better.
Yet another one great purpose we live to achieve.
How many languages do you know? decides how wide is your knowledge of different people from different parts of the world.
A great person, once said. He who knows other people's language, is safe from their deception.
I say, He who knows other people's language, has just gained more knowledge ;)

I think learning new language is a marvelous experience and fun way to spend the time .

I think we need to learn other languages to work. In italy people needs to know english because the most jobs requires it. Anyway it is important to know other languages also to travel abroad
