What do you think about a "Perfectionist" person?

I am a perfectionist, and I sometimes found myself weird just because of it. And most of my friends told me that I am a kinda person that never be satisfied with the result of my job, as I think there is always something that make my task not completely well-done. And I need some times to review it again and again. So, what do you think about this Personality? Do you think that it is weird or stuff?

Thanks,

Wow, thanks guys for the opinions, I really appreciate that. I think all of those comments are related to my life experiences. Being a perfectionist sometimes helpful but most of time it ruins my day as well, Especially when doing an urgent task that has to be done before the deadline. I am actually an perfectionist in every area but the one thing that is really matter to me is being a perfectionist as an English learner. I have been learning English since 2012 and still on going, and I realize that I have many problems in understanding The Language itself. But I keep trying so hard in order to be fluent but sometimes it did not work out. I really agree that being a perfectionist is really stressful and tiring. Having this figured out, now I am trying some ways to at least overcome this (By saying "overcome", I don't mean that being a perfectionist is a problem, but just want to reduce it), and now I've got some good progress in controlling it. By having all your answers, I am now feeling better and glad to get to know it, as I feel it was such a big burden which put on my shoulder. And all those answers also really helpful and help me to open my eyes even wider to not only see the perfect side of thing but also the imperfection side of it.

If you're perfectionist when you're at wok, it's usual. Because it's job ^^

But if you're perfectionist in your life too, It'll be tiring and boring I think

I don't think it is weird, and only a problem if you feel that it is holding you back in some way.  However, for myself personally, I have made large efforts to let go of a good amount of my perfectionism because I felt like it was too self defeating because there really is no such thing as "perfect."  I was looking too hard to make things as close to perfect as I could, that I wasn't appreciating the imperfections in all areas of my life that really are, in my opinion, what gives the world and, all we know in it, its color,  uniquity and balance. That and acceptance that quite often it is in the imperfections, that we find what is closest to perfection.

Perfectionism maybe good or maybe not good thing. It depends on you and your world view. I think people should be in harmony with the world. If you think our world is perfect in all aspects then perfectionism is good for you. And vice versa.

It is very useful to realize that one doesn't have to strive for perfectionism at all times. Sometimes, being "good enough" is the optimal solution. If it doesn't take more than being "good enough", it is often unnecessary to shoot over the target, it will only cause you a lot of stress. Anyway, about English, you said you have been learning the language only since 2012, that is about four years. That is almost nothing, such a short while, and yet you have already achieved amazing results. One thing to have in mind is what you intend to use the language for. Are you going, for example, to use it for attaining a PhD in physics? Becoming a medical doctor? Teach school children in foreign languages at your own home country? Make a career as a business person in the US? All of these targets would put up quite different hurdles when it comes to the English language itself. In one case, you might need to focus on a lot of technical terminology, but it doesn't matter much if you have a small accent. In another case, it is more important that you work with your accent, but you would need only a more limited vocabulary. Always think about what is the least necessary requirement you will have to fulfill given your precise target. Then you try to aim for that target, but overshooting the target isn't the target in itself. Sometimes it's a "nice to have" but not required in order to feel satisfied with the result.
