That's funny!

That's the kind of misunderstandings caused by differences between US & UK English I warn my students about.

One time, during an exam, a female student asked me for a rubber. I told her no try to focus on the test.

I don't teach on italki, but a student once asked me if frogs have teeth.

on italki i didn't face something like that but in general i meet many weird students

i remember a student who asked me if it is important to study the grammar and the general rules of the language to speak fluently or just she should only listen to me without studying ot even writing down any notes :)

I had a really weird encounter with a "student". He wanted to know if I was a teacher who would punish, humiliate and be very strict with her students. He only wanted to book classes with me if I was such a teacher. Needless to say, we never got to the class stage.
