what is the meaning of:
신청하다 means to apply to
What if it's written like (신청을 하기 위하다)
They say it's also to apply to even 위하다 is to take care of
So here should it be to take care of applying to or it'd be to apply to ?

'위하여' means 'in order to'. So '신청하기 위하여' means 'in order to apply for something'.
