Hello everyone! I have a question: is it right to say " I don't like that you smoke" in English? It just doesn't sound correct to me...What would be the best alternative? Can you help, please?

"I don't like you smoking"

"I don't like it when you smoke"

What you said is absolutely correct as well.

Hello, Giselle! It is absolutely correct to say it like that. As well you could use "I don't like that you are smoking" or "I don't want you to smoke".

Giselle,

"I don't like that you smoke" is entirely good, concise English. You could clarify it with "...the fact that you smoke", but that is wordy.
