If you can't be part of formal classes or use tutors, then you could approach the language as happens with a child. When very young, you don't understand what you hear. You remember after your brain makes associations. After you hear certain words enough times you connect those sounds with something that happens in your life. You repeat those words and you accept the results. Begin with the simple things you do in life in Russian. Convert those into English and memorize them. Use those words, repeatedly. When these become automatic for you, begin to expand the vocabulary you use to meet more of your needs. I assume you will use a translator to determine the meaning of what I wrote for you.

Watch ESL youtube videos and repeat out loud what you hear. Listen to the audio/video over and over until you start repeating it correctly. Also it might be a good idea to take a lesson with a tutor/teacher. They can help.
