Is ghosting someone heartless? How do you properly end a relationship?

A famous actress was interviewed and the conversation was rather awkward. The reporter was direct to the point. “ Did you breakup?” The reporter tried his best to say the question politely. The beautiful actress said, “No, from my understanding we did not break up, he just stopped talking to me . Ghosting is a very bad way to end a relationship. I think each person who spent time together no matter how good or bad it was , should at least say goodbye properly. I think it is a sign of respect. “Ghosting” is seen as an unacceptable way of ending a relationship but it became common .

In my opinion, ghosting is indeed an awful way to end a relationship but I am not a saint, I am also guilty of ghosting someone. I learned a lot from this experience and I would never do it again. Communication is an integral part of maintaining a harmonious and healthy relationship. Even at times when you feel like giving up on someone, they deserve closure.

What do you think about ghosting?

I would rather hear someone tell me the classic breakup line, “ It’s not you, it’s me.”

It’s so much better than ghosting.

Ghosting is unethical and selfish. We owe it to the people we’re dating to communicate with them if we want to break up with them.

I’ve had people ghost me, and all it showed me was that they don’t deserve my love, which makes me glad they’re out of my life.

You can call me old-fashioned, but we should end a relationship the same way we started. I am still friend of some ex-girlfriends. The truth is the best method.

My opinion is that people who are dishonest in this way and lack basic courtesy for their partner are not worth the time. It shows a lack of maturity on their behalf. They are not worth knowing.
