夜雨寄北/李商隱
君問歸期未有期,巴山夜雨漲秋池,
何當共剪西窗燭,卻話巴山夜雨時.
Li Shangyin (李商隱) is a famous poet of Tang Dynasty, whose works are very beautiful but difficult to understand.
Written on a Rainy Night to My Wife in the North (夜雨寄北) is an easier one of his poetry.

我说你怎么像跟屁虫一样阴魂不散呢？
诗歌里没有什么正确、错误的答案！能够自圆其说就可以成一家之言！

Jeff, to me personally, 君 does not mean wife literally, but you literally. "君不见黄河之水天上来，奔流到海不复回……" 君 is just you. "听君一席话，胜读十年书". This does not mean I have to listen to a king/husband/honourable officer or wife, to learn a lot. It just mean, your remark is very helpful to me. Therefore, 君 can mean you. In this poem, you means 李商隐's wife. That's it.
In fact, the meaning of "君" as "you" is used much more frequently than as "husband". Therefore, I think personally, it is much more possible that 君 means 李商隐's wife here, unless 李商隐 failed to make him clear.
君 has many meanings in Chinese. Consider these, "某君", "记念刘和珍君", "君临天下"(This does not mean the emporer comes to the world at all.).
