With Coming New Year You
is it common to say so among English speakers
Thanks
Russians celebrate New Year far more than Christmas which is for them according to the Old (Julian) Calendar still used by the Russian Orthodox Church. In Wetern Europe we celebrate Christmas Merry Christmas!
In English we say "Happy New Year", and we can say this before midnight on the 31st December if we know we won't see that person until January. Or we say it at midnight, and usually give everyone we meet a big hug.
