There's no shortcut to learning any language, I think. But don't give up and keep immersing yourself in the culture and language and keep practicing, the results will be apparent over time. Just be patient about it :)

It's okay! Keep trying! It is hard to see it improve, but if you compare it to last year you can really see the difference :) 我都覺得學廣東話好難啊

i suggest you watch movies with subtitles (english but with chinese would be nice as well) Disney movies would be a good start because you may know the stories already like Mulan, the Lion King, Beauty and the Beast ... and later on you can start watching them without any subtitle ... then you can start watch real movies with real life ppl (yaaaaaaa)

 listen to english songs like beyonce !!! musical ( because they use song to express their feeling so would be a good thing that you can understand the lyrics)
