What does "airy" mean?

When a professor describe you are "airy", what does he mean exactly? Can anyone answer for me? Thank you :)

I'm so glad you seem to have been able to figure it out, Miss Lee. :)

I'd interpret it to mean that you're shy and hesitant, without much of a physical presence in a room. It's hard to know without context though: it's a very vague description.

Airy could be the way you talk, like having a soft voice.  It could be your personality meaning many things.  I don't think you have enough information to make any determination.

Since this is 4th hand information, we really don't know if the word was in fact "airy," but if so, the only thing that comes to mind is "airhead," which would not be a compliment.

Thanks, Jmat. So this word can have so many different meanings and implications depending on the context. It seems to be able to describe people, personality, and things, etc. But I think Jmat's description seem to suit my situation at that time.. I was not very verbal in class, but my score was one of the highest. They professors knew that I knew what I was doing ;)
