I saw a program about travel that a couple and them dog travel around the world and show beautiful places, they traveled to Iraq (before the war) and Iran. They were walking with them dog and people argue with them because the dog. Everywhere they walked, children throw stone towards the dog and other dogs on the street.
I was curious, why this people don’t like dogs?

just from the viewpoint of science,
cats, birds and rodents can transmit and spread way more diseases than dogs.
not against anything, just stating the fact.
Just to clarify the misconception. The Saliva of dogs considered unclean and we shouldn't eat anything we are not sure that the dogs or anykind of animal touch. There is another case which it is ok to eat eventhough if dogs touch it like the hunter dogs case.

@Mitra, it's not about Islam and it's not written in Quran. In Turkey, we love dogs and live with them at home or street and we're muslim.
