Key takeaway from today's lesson
Laughing and giggling is the words that I know when I describe someone. However, today I've learned different kinds of "laughing". Laughing is a neutral word that can used both positive and negative ways. Giggling is somewhat lighter than laughing. A common example of giggling is "Those girls are giggling". Snickering is something that I'm still confused about. I searched snickering on Google, and I got a bunch of gifs where the animation characters giggling. Wait, then what is the difference between giggling and snickering? Last word that I've learn was smirk. I understood this word immediately as the teacher gave me a great example. When someone have a presentation, he or she make a mistake. A mean person smirk in front of the presenter.

*When referring to words one should use quote marks. With the ideas they represent quote marks are not used. I will not correct any more since you have used so many.

Snickering is more sinister, not light-hearted like giggling. Snickering is usually done under someone’s breath.
For example:
The group of girls snickered as the new girl walked by, not knowing she had a giant stain on her shirt.
