"Leisure" by William Henry Davies
What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty's glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
When I read the poem, I start to think of the life more and more. The auther makes sure us the life to be boring and useless if we have no time to stand and stare. After the first reading I felt strange. All the things seemed to me to be unnessecary because the nature is the one of the most essential part of my life and lifestyle. I consider that we would not exist if the nature was not. So, I wish you to have a lot of fabulous moment and you can stand and stare :)

Very well written. WH Davies also wrote a bizarre book of his time as a hobo* in Britain and America. While in Britain, one day, walking the 50 miles from one town to another, he recited poetry to his fellow traveller.
*"tramp" in British English. In those days (1920s?), tramps were moved on from (out of) town to town by the police, upon penalty of prison for vagrancy. It was after WW1 and many (1000s) of these men had been broken by the war.
