When I think of Western representations of China, what comes to mind are some figures in movies which describe China in western ways, such as The Last Emperor, reflects a general idea about China's weak and pale through the characters.
My reasons for taking this class are the subject attracted me, foreign lecturers, and I think this is a good opportunity to study English.
In this class, I would like to read some books about religion, because there are so many people consider that Chinese have no faith or they don't have some belief in god in their whole life. Best through films, I hope.
