St. Patty's Day 3/4
How can a bar owner able to deliver eight giant trays of food free to its customers? Let me answer you this way by asking another question… “Do you know how much profit is made in a glass of alcohol?” The licence fee for Californian alcohol permit can be as high as US$100K a year, depending on the type of sale!
A jell-o shot is a tiny jell-o laced with alcohol. A "shot" is a tiny amount of alcohol in a jigger/shot glass. The ones you see in the photo are laced with Vodka and costs $US2 a piece. This is expensive for such a tiny little thing. To prevent myself from being accused as a male sexist pig, I am posting this photo of a hunk instead of some scantily big boobed waitress peddling her wares. Turning the tables around, do you ladies refuse plunking down a few bucks for a friendly hunk with winsome smiles coming close up to you peddling his wares?

Confucius is considered the utmost teacher and sage in Chinese culture. Therefore his writings, essays must be the greatest. In ancient China, lettered people who had not become a scholar yet or poor scholars would go into the business of writing letters, documents, lawsuits etc for iliterate people for a fee. Hence selling their essays. Hence ""Selling essays in front of Confucius" ( 孔夫子臉前賣文章) means, trying to show off your skills in front of someone whose skills are better than yours.
