I learnt the word "refreshingly" today.
I am grateful to the people all [意思是說有靈精妖怪來幫助或者有些不是人類 :)] who had helped me in explaining my question about the the relationship between "grate" and "grateful". And At the same time, I would like to thank others groups of people who had generously gave given me answers in the past, and not least the one of the helpers who had repeated his offering [Offer = 提共, 献, 呈, 讓, offering = 祭品] to help in all my different questions. I received an answer for to my one new question about the meaning of "refreshingly" today. and I am happy delighted with the such rapidity and good the quality of the answer. I thank you all ladies and gentlemen [形式太重].
This new question is the word "Refreshingly", it sounds too strange weird, for me and was am I too lazy to seek help look it up in from a dictionary? On the contrary, this question come after I had checked over more than 3 three dictionaries. Each dictionary one gave "refreshing" a different perspective idea that prompted me to realize what I had learnted about this word was may not be correct. It This is not a unique case between Chinese and English translation of each other. There are a groups of words that are hard to be translated by Chinese and can be very or easy to be easily misunderstood even by those given in the dictionary. One of my understanding about the word refreshing, it that I learnt from the dictionary a long ago, is mere a substitution of the word "energetic" or "new", and was totally clear as a form of being from the meaning of pleasant.
This case reminded me to be more attentive for these seemingly vague, and abstract English words. It is I have a new attitude respect towards learning this English language.
