Today is the first of July in lunar calendar.

Do you know the ghost month? You may not be so familiar with the lunar calendar, however, in Taiwan the particular month of July is coming with a great deal of mystery.
According to our legend, this month hell is opening and spirits are approved to wander around the world where they used to live, which means the same world we are in. Having this activity is not funny. I follow a lot of superstitions instead, such as avoiding going to hospital, having to take in the clothes we hang outside before night fall, and so on. I don't know why we have this long-term tradition, and worse is Halloween without trick or treat sometimes. But thanks to that, we'll have more junk food to eat after it is served as sacrifices.
