The Italian Aperitif When I go to the pub with my friends, I usually drink a glass of white or red whine. I love having an aperitif in the evening on the Saturday. The barman also brings me some crisps and nuts, but in some pubs you can also eat pasta, sandwiches, crackers, snacks and togheter with the drinks . In Italy, an aperitif is like a dinner. The aperitif is cheap although you eat many things.

You can say Saturday or Saturdays - I would use Saturdays as the plural shows you don't mean one specific Saturday, this is also why you don't use the before Saturdays.

I wouldn't say together with the drinks as together & with mean much the same thing, together is redundant. I would just say ...snacks with drinks. Again, you don't need the the before drinks as you're not talking about specific drinks. Also, I think it's important to put the or before snacks to show that you don't have to order all of those things with drinks.

In the United States we usually use the following: aperitif = a drink barman = a bartender pub = bar
