The Bon Festival

The Bon festivities were over holidays finished yesterday.

The Bon Festival is a Japanese traditional Buddhist event in Japan to honor the spirits of one's ancestors which whom are believed to return to see/visit their families from August 13th through the 15th. Typically,_during the this period, the Japanese people would take the days off.

In this year, because Saturday and Sunday followed the Bon Festival, therefore virtually the Bon holidays were extended  got longer from August 13th through till August the 17th.
