This particular speech is by an American poet. Please make a transcript of only the first minute of the video clip, you can take as long as you want on the minute, but please record how long you took to understand the voice and tell us what caused you the most difficulty.
The video is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmWnQzd6x0w
This is the text for the first minute only.
The voice is that of an African American woman. Her introduction (sec 4 - sec 18) is at normal pace. When she begins her poem, her speech quickens
and becomes harder to understand.
I am not familiar with this type of accent so I have made some mistakes. If anyone can correct those, please feel free to do so.

Notes :
the voice that the person uses during the recitation expresses deep emotion.

this person tends to say dat for the word that.
Notice that sometimes, she drops the ending g on words -- hurtin instead of hurting.

the word hoe is a slang word for a promiscuous woman. It is not meant to be nice.

nigger is a derogatory term, please don't use it, we all need to be nice to our brothers and sisters.

Is this a poem she wrote about how black people need to unite? If so and if this is the truth there, I can say I agree with her. Actually I don't really understand the entire poem and I don't know why but her voice kind of impressed me a bit. Why do we have to fight when we still have to stand together? I think it's not only about black people but everyone, every society.
