Barranquilla - Colombia

Barranquilla is located in the north of Colombia, near to the Caribean Sea. It's one of the most beautiful cities in my country. There are many places/sites  for to visite. Its culture and people make Barranquilla a charming place for enjoying having a great time,. You can visite places like Bocas de Ceniza and eat in front the river fish, arroz con coco (Coconut rice), patacones and agua panela, the typical food of that city, and you can do so right in front of the river.
The most important event in Barranquilla is the carnival. It is celebrated in on the weekend before Ash Wednesday. In During this time you can enjoy wonderful Caribbean culture shows, diferents featuring various  local characters like Marimondas, Garabatos, Monocucos involved the city,. It's a good time for being happy!
The soccer team of the city is Junior de Barranquilla. When the team plays, it's like having another carnival, and many Barranquilleros go to the Roberto Melendez Stadium "Roberto Melendez" to watch it the game. Soccer players like Carlos "El Pibe" Valderrama y Ivàn Rene Valenciano have played there.

Many famous people was were born in Barranquilla, like Shakira (Singer), Sofia Vergara (actress) Silvia Tsherasi (Fashion Designer), and Maritza Rodriguez (Actress).
