By replacing the word "emergency" with "predicament", Joey is making a joke to demonstrate that their situation is serious, so the nurse should be more concerned about Ross' injury. If it wasn't an emergency, then they wouldn't be at the "emergency room", they would be at the "predicament room." So it is a joke. There is no such thing as a "predicament room." Hope this helps!

Interesting question, Maria. It might mean anything but it seems to me like something someone made up; like 'right handed lamp', 'Indian restatement', 'joint density gesundheit',... ie, some random adjective+noun. Take your pick or make your own one up. PS did it come from a song?
