Advantages and disadvantages of living in a small town or village as opposed to a big city It is often claimed that living in a small town it is better than living in a big city. First of all, small towns usually have bigger and more affordable houses which can usually have grounds where you can do a lot of things like: building a pool where you can relax after a hardworking day, you can make your own vegetable garden where you can grow the vegetables and fruits that you want. Furthermore, small towns have less population which makes them quieter and a nicer place to live. Additionally, people are closer and you can get to know well your neighbors. In the other hand there are some disadvantages of living in a small town. To begin with, there are less shops, entertainment places and schools, so most of the times you will need to use a car or public transport to go to a near big city. What´s more, it is easier to find a job in a big city. Finally, you have everything nearer and you normally can walk everywhere. Taking everything into consideration, living in a small town or a big city depends on what kind of life style you prefer.
