Officer & Gentleman After the death of mother, young Zack Mayo had to move to his father. Zack grew without attention because his father usually was departing. However, the grown up guy decided to enter naval school. When he entered school, he firstly met his drill sergeant. His name was Foley. He was strict, but smart and fair. In every possible way Foley tried to force out cadets at own will. It was called as drop on request (DOR). The duration of the course was 13 weeks. There were some girls, who wanted to marry only a pilot. They treated recruits with disdain, but when recruits became officers, some girls were fond of them.

An Officer & a Gentleman

After the death of his mother, young Zack Mayo had to move in with his father who was seldom home and didn't pay him much attention. However, when he grew up, Zack decided to enter a naval school.
The first person he met there was his drill sergeant. His name was Foley. He was strict, but smart and fair. In every possible way, Foley tried to force the cadets to drop out of their own free will. It was called a drop on request (DOR). The duration of the course was 13 weeks.
There were some girls (where?) who wanted to marry only a pilot. They treated recruits with disdain, but when recruits became officers, some girls grew fond of them.
