Paid Holidays in Japan Although Japan's statutory paid leaves are not short and Japan has many national holidays, it is often said that Japanese employees are likely to overwork more than workers in other countries. Under Japan's labor laws, all full-time employees are guaranteed the minimum 10 days of paid annual leaves per year, and additional days (max 10 days) of paid vacation are added according to the length of service. However, most employees are unwilling to take full paid leaves. In fact, the average usage rate for paid leaves in my company is roughly 50%. The major reason why employees don't take vacation may be fear for inconveniencing co-workers. The Japanese culturally put emphasis on being humble and industrious, and tend to consider people who work long hours as good employees. Recently, the Japanese government has been struggling to change such a situation, but it hasn't made tangible results yet. That being said, I like enjoying vacations by making use of my paid holidays. Next week, I'm going to take days off and travel to Russia and Finland!

Just one suggestion: 

** As you are referring to the single concept of paid absence from duty, "leave" should be an uncountable noun. For example, we could say that you are taking three days of leave or you applied for a three-day leave, but not three days of leaves. You are entitled to 14 days of annual leave, but not 14 annual leaves. So, you can count the number of days of "leave", but you cannot pluralise it.

^^ Sometimes, we can use either a to-infinitive or a gerund to express our intention.

Example: I like to swim. / I like swimming. (Both are correct.)

Sometimes, it sounds more natural to use one of them.

Example: I hope to enjoy myself in Finland! (natural) / I hope enjoying myself in Finland! (incorrect and unnatural).

Your sentence "I like enjoying...." sounds unnatural and you are better off using the to-infinitive "to enjoy".

The noun 'leave' (in the sense of taking time off work) is a plural noun, like the word 'data'. So we say 'paid annual leave' instead of 'paid annual leaves'.

The major reason why employees don't take vacation may be a fear of inconveniencing co-workers. Culturally, the Japanese put emphasis on being humble and industrious, and tend to consider people who work long hours as good employees. Recently, the Japanese government has been struggling to change this situation, but it hasn't produced tangible results yet.

That being said, I like making use of my paid holidays to enjoy vacations . Next week, I'm going to take days off and travel to Russia and Finland!
