we had fried dough sticks for lunch in our canteen today. It was a new dish. A Chinese teacher asked the staff member to give her more after the first portion. I did the same. I asked her “do you also have it in your hometown for breakfast?” She said yes. I asked “what do you call it?” She answered “youtiao” and asked me the same question. I said “guozi”. She said “what?” I repeated “guozi. Like in ‘Jianbing guozi’”.
My mother tries to buy it for me every weekend, but I always try to refuse because I don’t want to be addicted to it. But sometimes she still buys it successfully.
Hometown, what time is it?

We sometimes say "second helping or second serving." Ex : Can I have a second helping?
We also have it in our Chinese restaurants. It often served together with rice porridge. On the menu, they also usually call it fried dough sticks or YouTiao.
