"저는 안경을 찾아요(=찾고 있어요)" can emphasize "안경" while "제가" is stressed in the second one.^^/
A : WHAT are you doing? or WHAT are you looking for?
B : 저는 안경을 찾아요.(=찾고 있어요) = I am looking for THE GLASSES.(not other things)
A: WHAT did you find? or Did you find the glasses?
B : 저는 안경을 찾았어요. = I found the glasses.
(In both examples above, "저는" can be left out becuase "WHO" isn't important)
A : WHO found the glasses?
B : I did. = 제가 안경을 찾았어요.(not other persons)

제가 means mine
So, 제가 안경을 찾았어요. - Found my glasses
