a. to move on
b. to expand on

Choose one of the 'signpost' expressions above for the following situations:
1.When you want to make your next point (...).
2.When you want to change direction (...).
3.When you want to refer to an earlier point (...).
4.When you want to repeat the main points (...)
5.When you want to give a wider perspective (...).
6.When you want to do a deeper analysis (...).
7.When you just want to give the basics (...).
8.When you want to depart from your plan (...).
9.When you want to finish your talk (...).
I don't understand how to use the 'signpost' expressions :( ....
Thanks before..
'to move on' means to go forward so it fits with option 1.
'to expand on' means to enlarge a topic so it wits with option 5.
'to digress' means to talk about something that's not fully connected to your main point so it fits with option 8.
'to go back' means to return to something so it fits with option 3.
'to recap' means to cover the things you've said again so it fits with option 4.
'to conclude' means to finish so it fits with option 9.
'to summarise' is to cover all the material quickly (normally done near the end of something) so it fits best with option 7 though it could fit with option 4 too.
'to turn to' means to make a fairly large change in what you're talking about so it fits best with option 2 but you could use it for option 1 as well.
'to elaborate on' means to go into more detail so it fits best with option 6.
Hope that helps.
