If you finished mowing the lawn and you're asked if the lawn is mowed, you can say, "I already did it." If you've been to Paris and someone asked you if you've seen Paris, you can say, "I've already been there." Before we go any further, I should try to explain how before is used (that was a little joke). Before = earlier in time or in front of something (like an event). "Before you leave for the trip, make sure you have packed enough warm clothes."

Before: 1- previous to; earlier or sooner than ---------> ex: phone me before noon. 2- in front of; ahead of; in advance of ---------> ex: she stood before the window. 3- ahead of; in the future of; awaiting ---------> ex: the golden age is before us. Already: 1- by this or that time; previously; prior to or at some specified or implied time -------> ex: when we came in, we found that they had already arrived. 2- now; so soon; so early ----------> is is noon already? 3- used as an intensifier to express exasperation or impatience ------> let's go already.

I disagree that they are completely different words. While they can have different meanings, they can also be used similarly. For example, if someone suggests that you go to the store, you could say "I've already done that" (or "I've already gone there"), but you could also say "I was there before." The difference is that before is a preposition whereas already is an adverb. Both of them mean "prior to," though. In Persian, "before" is like "ghabl az," but "already" is like "ghablan." (Also, I tried to respond to your message, but italki wouldn't let me. It says you need to follow me before I can message you back.)

They are completely differents words I already did that. I already saw that movie. I already give her/he the money. I already finished my task before I talk to you on the phone. I never saw that before. Where did you buy it.
