Do they attach grades/certificate from school/uni to applications in the uk?

I am writing applications right now and I wonder if I can add my grades from university to the application or if that would be uncommon?

In Germany it is normal to add a range of certificates to the application but you also add a photo of yourself. That would be very weird in many other countries, would't it?

For a job application, you don't need a photo here.  It would look really strange if you did that here to most people :D  
You should put on your university grades especially if the job you are applying for is in a field related to your degree.  If it's not you can afford to be a bit more vague and don't go into detail about the subjects you studied e.g you could just say "Mechanical Engineering degree, x grade"

Any other questions, then just ask.
