Hello Danica, There's another tip which I also learnt the hard way: even though you're doing all you can, be patient. In my case it took a couple of months to get my first student (though other teachers may just as well find students almost immediately), and that was in spite of the research I did and having already been an active member here for a couple of years. What has worked most in my favour is being Australian. Most of my students have been either living in or planning to go to Australia, and wanted to find out about life and culture there... and listen to the way I speak, of course. ;) So don't be shy about putting "talk with a real Canadian!" on your profile. There are students who do want to talk to you for that very reason. :) The only thing I can fault on your profile is that the lesson offered is presented in a very generic way. Think of the students who need English to pass exams, get a promotion or immigrate (to Canada). Name a few specific things to show that you can offer exactly what they want. You could also rephrase the "I teach..." sentences with "I can help you with...." or even "Learn real English with a native Canadian speaker." In short, tailor your phrases to your market. HI, i think that you first start any student to teach. After sometime if your teach method is good and students feels their English is improving, you will be popular after sometime. Then you will start getting students gradually. so First step is to start. thanks Humayoo
