Khaki is a color. It is a light tan. It is used heavily for clothes used for outdoor activities. It is such a popular color for pants, that it can be used to mean the pants themselves. For example: A- "What are you wearing to the picnic?" B- "I'm going to wear a t-shirt and some khakis."
