I am trying memorize this incredibly beautiful yet sad poem by Nazir Qabbani poem in Arabic and English for an event.

Do you agree with the English subtitles? Because it is poetry, the English must be more formal. Also, do you recognize the speaker? What is his name?

This is one of my favourite poems as well. I'm not a teacher Linda, but the translation is perfect and I agree with it. Unfortunately I don't know who the speaker is. Good luck in memorizing this beautiful poem :)
