How to improve the listening skill of English?
As a freshman of English major,my homework requires me to listen a mountain of materials,including dialogue and news.but news always make me confused,I have no idea what should I do.

Listen to the radio, BBC radio 4 is a news radio station where they speak very clear and grammatically correct English

One option might be to get Chinese news reports on the same topics. That would give you the basic idea of the content of a news story. Then it might be easier to understand the English with this background information in your head.
