"Tusk" (song by Fleetwood Mac) I know that tusks are long teeth of some animals. Can anybody explain the meaning of tusk in the homonymous song by Fleetwood Mac? Reading lyrics I think it talks about jealosy, unfaithfulness and couples on the rocks. Is it slang? I don't think they refer to teeth... Thank you

Mick Fleetwood has said it's slang for the male sexual organ. (I've never heard it used that way outside this song however so not a common one.)

Well... I guess this is something you either look up, or speculate on. Or both. The actual meaning of "tusk" would be found in Lindsey Buckingham's (the writer's) head. No, it's not a slang word. Maybe it's the image of an angry elephant. Maybe the word just sounds right for the song.

Alessandro- Wow... I remember when that song came out. Not one of their best. It never made any sense to me. Tusk is not slang for anything I know. I would be interested too to hear if anyone on italki knows anything about this song.
