"to stand" is a positive aspect (one can tolerate pain well) and "to suffer" is the negative aspect (one is feeling the pain or is in pain). "suffer" collacates (is usually followed by) "from", but in the example given, there is no need to use "being" - It should be "Camels would/do not suffer from hot/high temperatures."
