The RSA recommends that you speak to them first before applying. I saw that the next application process opens in October but why don't you contact them now anyway? If you give them some information about you and your work, they will probably be able to guess if the UK Government would be willing to give you a visa. They may also be able to advise you what you could do now in order to increase your chances of obtaining a successful visa next year .
