is it correct when a teacher says to students DON'T PROMPT i.e Don't say answers to another STUDENT
it is like a cheat don't say answers to your another
We don't use 'prompt' in that way. Actors are prompted if they forget their lines, but we don't use it for students who can't answer questions. A teacher would just say 'Don't give him/her the answer.' if it looked like another student was trying to help.

"Prompt" indicates you are doing something to get the other student to answer. In your situation, you should say "Don't help!"
