I prefer to learn Asian languages like Arabic, Hindi, Malay, Indonesian, Korean, Japanese, or even Mandarin. It's because i personally think that there are still so many people from asian countries who don't speak english. It'll be easier for us to communicate with them if we speak their languages. Even though these languages might be hard to be learned remembering the lack of these languages' sources we'd find on the internet, it's worth the try, really. :)

I want to learn French because I like the language itself and because I'm interested in the culture. I have also recently become interested in the similarities between the UK and France; at the moment there are a lot of interesting parallels in the political sphere and I think there have been historically too. But also, learning French and being able to speak it fluently would increase the number of places I could actually live in the world and that kind of change opens all sorts of wonderful possibilities.
I'd also like to learn Japanese because it seems like a fun language to speak (as does German), and Korean because I really enjoy what I've seen of South Korean cinema :)
