Quick spelling question -- 시간 때우다 or 떼우다? Are they the same thing? 때 and 떼? If they are the same thing, which spelling is correct? Thanks.

시간을 때우다 is a correct sentence. 때우다 means "fill something up" But, 떼우다 means "pill something off" So, when you spending extra time by doing something, you have to say "시간을 때우다". Because it is like you are filling that extra time by doing something.
