Love based on looks alone is doomed to failure, because good looks fade with time. Love does not depend on looks. You may be confusing love with attraction. But even attraction occurs by things other than looks. It may be because the person is very witty, or kind or some other attribute. So, love and even attraction, does not depend on looks, good or otherwise. True love comes from a shared life and shared values, not superficial things such as appearance.

Another thing is that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When I talk about girls with friends I notice how some girls are considered "pretty" by some and "not pretty" by others. Another thing is that although being pretty is an advantage in terms of dating it can quickly turn against someone if they are "just pretty" and nothing else. There's nothing more annoying than someone who knows he/she is pretty and relies on nothing else but looks.

At first, perhaps. A pretty face is an instant attraction. But, (only) being pretty doesn't last too long. A person's inner qualities is more important for a lasting relationship. In fact, it is really the only important thing in the long term. 花瓶好看沒錯,但長期一直看花瓶很無聊.

Good looking is not important without brain and good manner.

When is true love, the face is not important, only the sincerity of yourself.
